Manta F1230 Functional Silicone Fluid

Manta F1230 is a specialized Carbinol-Functionalized (Alcohol-Modified) Silicone Fluid. Structurally, it is a linear dimethicone capped with polar alcohol-ether groups.

This unique hybrid architecture imparts a moderate polarity to the silicone backbone, fundamentally altering its solubility profile. Unlike standard silicones, Manta F1230 acts as a powerful Compatibilizer and Coupling Agent, bridging the gap between non-polar silicones and polar organic ingredients (such as esters, alcohols, and fragrances). It functions as a superior suspension aid for pigments and particles, ensuring high stability in color cosmetics and sunscreens.

How to Use

1. Processing: Can be added directly to the oil/silicone phase. For color cosmetics and sunscreens, it is highly recommended to pre-mix Manta F1230 with the pigments or inorganic powders before incorporating them into the main batch to maximize dispersion efficiency.
2. Recommended Dosage: 0.1% – 20.0% of the total formulation, depending on the powder loading and desired formulation stability.

Safety and Storage

Keep away from heat and open flame. Prevent from the exposure of moisture, acid, alkalis and other impurities. When stored at well in the original unopened containers, this product has a usable life of 12 months from the date of production.
